Secret Records are hand-made sculptural resin castings using found vinyl lp records as a source mould,
created by Jesse Paul Miller.
Each of these discs contain found objects embedded within the resin.
Each one is unique in appearance and source mould.
There were approximately 250 of these made between 1994 - 1999.
They directly capture the grooves of the source record giving these objects inverted grooves.
Most Secret Records are playable.
In past installation settings they were displayed in groupings on walls, and on phonograph players.
They have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and record shops in USA, Japan, and Indonesia.
There was a vinyl 7" release featuring the sounds of the Secret Records.
